Hi Lovelies!

Welcome to Day 2 of Simon Says Stamp's Friend Like You Blog Hop! Along with all the stamps, stencils, dies and embossing folders, we got new ink colors in this release so I had to try them for today's card.

Apologies, if my photos look a bit off today, I took them at 3AM before I left for vacation and I don't think that night photography is my thing, LOL. I'm currently on vacations with one of my girlfriends so todays card is channeling soft life vacay vibes.

As for our new colors they have a beautiful, sophisticated, gentle look with a grey undertone. I think these die-cuts show them off nicely, with a little bit of contrast in our dragonfly wings using a little ink-blending on Simon's metallic vellum.

Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink Pads - Jade, Eucalyptus and Juniper, Surf

CARD HIGHLIGHTS

Die-cut the Rhythm Link background out of white cardstock for the card front.

Ink white cardstock using each of the colors from Trio 31 and die-cut using the x2 Basil Leaf and x1 Rose Branch dies. Adhere to the Rhythm Link background.

Die-cut the dragonfly wings using the Bright Dragonfly die and use a Round Detail Brush for Simon Says Stamp to gently ink the wings with Surf Ink and the body with Juniper ink.

Use tweezers to layer the wings onto the back side of the body and adhere with craft glue.

Adhere to the background.

Finish by trimming the selected sentiment strips and adhering to the die-cut Rhythm Link Background with foam dots. Don't forget to add a few sequins to pick up on the color in the dragonfly wings!

This is such a simple card and I was pressed for time when making it, but hopefully it shows what you can do with a few simple steps and the right tools!
