Tim Holtz Sizzix Holiday 2022 Release - Yuletide Colorize Card

Updated: Oct 3, 2022

Hello Lovelies! There are so many delights in this release so it was hard to choose what I wanted to focus on, but I eventually picked Yuletide Colorize. Trust me, it's so beautifully detailed and will be well worth the investment for putting it together!

If you have been here before, you'll know that I adore custom-coloring cardstock with my stamping inks and we will be doing that here as well. apart from the ink you will definitely needle the new dies which can be purchased individually or you can get all the new goodies in a bundle available at Simon Says Stamp.

Let's take a closer look at this die set!

Apart from the inks, we'll need a few more friends to make Christmas pink:

Final Wreath Assembly

Use the image on the die-cut package to guide your final placement of the bell, bow and berries, in that order.

PREPARE THE CARD BACKGROUND

DRY EMBOSSING

  1. Ink cardstock in Kitsch Flamingo Ink

  2. Emboss using the Woodgrain Embossing folder

  3. Trim to 3 3/4" x 5"

CREATE WREATH DOOR HANGER

  1. Trim off a sliver of Silver Metallic Cardstock

  2. Adhere a slim strip of Foam Tape and score at about 1" and 1 1/4"

  3. Use a Tape Runner to apply dry glue to the other side of the Silver strip

  4. Adhere the Silver strip with the foam tape to the front side of the pink background

  5. Apply Craft Tacky Glue to the reverse side of the pink background and adhere to the white card front

CREATE RUB-ON SENTIMENT

  1. Trim the selected Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHRISTMAS Remnant Rubs Tiny Text sentiment

  2. Select a scrap of white cardstock

  3. Apply the transparent layer with the sentiment to the white cardstock scrap

  4. Use the tool to press the rub-on onto the cardstock, remove the transparent layer and trim the white cardstock to size

FINAL CARD ASSEMBLY

  1. Adhere foam squares to wreath

  2. Adhere wreath onto card front

  3. Pop up the sentiment with foam tape and adhere to card front

That woodgrain texture looks fabulous in pink!

All the pretty purple layers!

The bell adds a little touch of bling to the card!

The over-the-top color palette on these die-cuts need a simple sentiment.

I think this will be pretty in so many color palettes if you just can't get past the pink!

Wishing you all a delightful card-making season Lovelies!
