Hello Lovelies! There are so many delights in this release so it was hard to choose what I wanted to focus on, but I eventually picked Yuletide Colorize. Trust me, it's so beautifully detailed and will be well worth the investment for putting it together!
If you have been here before, you'll know that I adore custom-coloring cardstock with my stamping inks and we will be doing that here as well. apart from the ink you will definitely needle the new dies which can be purchased individually or you can get all the new goodies in a bundle available at Simon Says Stamp.
Let's take a closer look at this die set!

YULETIDE COLORIZE CARD - Custom Coloring Cardstock, Die-cutting and Layering
Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Featuring:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads - Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves, Villainous Violet
CARD PALETTE
Distress Ink Colors: Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Shaded Lilac, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord, Villainous Potion
Gently drag ink pads across white cardstock to color the paper
CARD WALKTHROUGH
DIE-CUTTING
Organize your dies to make the die-cutting/layering process easier.
Note: I forgot to photograph the top layers of the wreath which are die-cut out of Shaded Lilac colored cardstock.
Wreath Base - Villainous Potion, Dusty Concord, Seedless Preserves
Wreath Top Layers - Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac
Bow: Kitsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry (base layer on right, middle layer in middle, top layer on left)
Wreath Berries: Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo (Pictured left to right)
Bell: Black Metallic Paper, Hickory Smoke*, Silver Metallic Paper, Silver Idea-ology Deco Sheets * - this is the only paper that is colored with Distress Ink for this die-cut
COLORIZE DIE-CUTS ASSEMBLY
Wreath Assembly
Start with the Villainous Potion layer
Adhere the Dusty Concord Layer
Adhere the Seedless Preserves Layer
Adhere the Wilted Violet die-cuts
Finish with adhering the Shaded Lilac die-cuts
Berries Assembly
Start with the Spun Sugar layer
Adhere the Kitsch Flamingo Layer
Finish with adhering the Picked Raspberry die-cuts
Tip: Break out the tweezers if you need to!
Bell Assembly
Start with the Metallic Black layer
Adhere the Hickory Smoke layer
Adhere the Silver Metallic layer
Finish with adhering the Silver Idea-ology Deco Sheets die-cut
Tip: You might need those tweezers again!
Bow Assembly
Start with the Picked Raspberry layer
Adhere the Spun Sugar layer
Finish with adhering the Kitsch Flamingo die-cut
Final Wreath Assembly
Use the image on the die-cut package to guide your final placement of the bell, bow and berries, in that order.
PREPARE THE CARD BACKGROUND
DRY EMBOSSING
Ink cardstock in Kitsch Flamingo Ink
Emboss using the Woodgrain Embossing folder
Trim to 3 3/4" x 5"
CREATE WREATH DOOR HANGER
Trim off a sliver of Silver Metallic Cardstock
Adhere a slim strip of Foam Tape and score at about 1" and 1 1/4"
Use a Tape Runner to apply dry glue to the other side of the Silver strip
Adhere the Silver strip with the foam tape to the front side of the pink background
Apply Craft Tacky Glue to the reverse side of the pink background and adhere to the white card front
CREATE RUB-ON SENTIMENT
Trim the selected Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHRISTMAS Remnant Rubs Tiny Text sentiment
Select a scrap of white cardstock
Apply the transparent layer with the sentiment to the white cardstock scrap
Use the tool to press the rub-on onto the cardstock, remove the transparent layer and trim the white cardstock to size
FINAL CARD ASSEMBLY
Adhere foam squares to wreath
Adhere wreath onto card front
Pop up the sentiment with foam tape and adhere to card front
That woodgrain texture looks fabulous in pink!
All the pretty purple layers!
The bell adds a little touch of bling to the card!
The over-the-top color palette on these die-cuts need a simple sentiment.
I think this will be pretty in so many color palettes if you just can't get past the pink!
