Hello Lovelies! Coming back from a little time away, I have many reasons to smile and definitely wanted to share that with you. While I was gone, Tim Holtz and Ranger Neon Alcohol Inks were released and I made a simple Smile Encouragement Card featuring my favorite sentiment die from Simon Says Stamp's Friend Like You and the vibrant inks!

Pairing the bold Smile sentiment with the equally stand-out inks is a good idea to me and I love that with all the color going in the background, the card needs to remain simple and utilizes a only a few crafty products.

SMILE ENCOURAGEMENT CARDS - Alcohol Inl Background, Die-cutting

Card Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

COLOR PALETTE

PREPARING THE BACKGROUND

Colorful neon ink bottles and an alcohol blending solution are lined up on a table, with a blank white sheet in front.

Prep by uncappying your Alcohol Inks and Alcohol Blending Solution.

Squirt lines of Alcohol Blending Solutions on 4" x 5 1/4" Yupo Paper.

Following that by quicky adding lines of each Neon Alcohol Ink color in the same direction as the blending solution and let dry without moving the paper.

FINISHING

Attach the dried background to a black card base.
Die-cut the sentiment layers out of black and white cardstock, and adhere the layers together.
Trim the Reverse Get Away Sentiment Strip and adhere with foam dots.

A few details:

Colorful paint streaks blend diagonally across a canvas, ranging from orange to purple. A small, round yellow object is in the bottom left. — I love that the pigment in these inks gives texture to the background,

Text "smile" and "YOU'RE GOING PLACES" on vibrant rainbow watercolor background with small gold discs, creating an uplifting mood. — The font on this die-cut is fantastic, I hope we get more with it!
