UP CLOSE AND CRAFTY

Pink flowers and blue-green leaves on a vibrant card, set amid pink ribbon and flowers, creating a cheerful, artistic scene.
I searched on Pinterest for folk art to find an interesting color scheme for today's card.

Pink card with blue leaves and pink flowers. Orange banner reads "YOU." Background features embossed textures and a coral accent.
I think the little flowers are my favorite!

LAST LOOK!

Colorful card with purple dove and pink flowers saying "LOVE YOU" in pink-orange banner. Background features pink petals and text design credit.
The only think I would change is to make the dove's beak orange here, to stand out more.

TIPS FOR ELEVATING YOUR COVER PLATE DIES:

I promised you some texture tips to get the most out of your color plate dies:

  1. Use glitter cardstock on some die-cuts to catch the eye

  2. Use vellum for an ethereal effect

  3. Consider thin foam or felt for a soft plush feel

  4. Emboss the outline with a delicately patterned folder (mini polka dots) to spice things up.

  5. Stamp a tightly patterned background stamp over the outline for contrast.
