Hello Lovelies! There is nothing subtle about this card - bold sentiment and bold background print are unified by a simple monochromatic color sheme and a whole lot of fabulousness!
The Dear Friend release has so many delights but the Hey Girl Die and Peony Background Stamp were the first items that I wanted to make with!
Below is a closer look at today's key supplies. It'll be hard to resist the Peony Background, but another background stamp with bold linework will also work well!

HEY GIRL CARD - Embossing over Ink-blended Background, and Stacked Die-cuts
Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2
COLOR PALETTE
Today's color combo is from the amazing Sidnie (@sldcreations on Instagram). I fell in love with it in one of her posts and had to try it!
PICTORIAL GUIDE
Note: Distress Oxides are magical to blend with, but have a slightly longer drying time so give them a little more time or heat set before you start embossing.
Once dry, go over diligently with the anti-static Brush Powder Tool before stamping in Intense Black Ink and embossing using Clear Powder.
The sentiment was cut out of Spun Sugar inked cardstock and again out of Glossy Black Cardstock.
The die-cut cardstock was layered on top of each other to give a bit of dimension. and the outline of the sentiment was used to guide placement of each letter when adhering to the top of the embossed card front.
Love those bold lines that define our beautiful peonies against all that pinkness!
These Distress colors were made for each other!
Clear enamel drops for a simple finishing touch!
Hey Girl! We're done!!!
Lovelies, if pink is NOT your thing, just pick another color combo, or more and make a few of these for your besties!
