Hello Lovelies! I did not know when I was making this card how much it would do to perk me up on the day that I posted it to Instagram. When I'm actually crafting I usually have a person or specific occasion in mind, but this was just supposed to be a simple, happy, everyday card.
The Cheering For You release includes the Cheering Stamp and Die Set which I paired nicely with the Cosmos Duo flower dies. Something about this flower seems optimistic and resilient to me in spite of it's spindly stem, so I'm glad if it can make someone smile, even if it's just me today.

CARD WALKTHROUGH
DIE-CUTTING & INK-BLENDING
Die-cut the Cosmos Duo out of white cardstock
Use Small and Detail Blending Brushes to ink the flower, stem and leaves wiht the selected Pawsitively Saturated Inks.
there are two shade for each color family, start with the lighter and use the darker inks to deepen the colors and add shadows.
Use the blue to add a bit of contrast on the pink petals
EMBOSSING & STENCILING
Emboss white cardstock using the Rolling Waves Embossing Folder
Using a larger Domed Arches Mask to create the outermost border by ink-blending the darkest ink, Galaxy, onto the embossed cardstock
Repeat this with a smaller mask and the Twilight ink
Finish the nested stenciling with the lightest blue ink and the smallest of the 3 masks.
CREATING THE SENTIMENT AND ASSEMBLING
Stamp the Cheering You On sentiment in Citrine Ink onto white cardstock
Die-cut using the matching outline die
Place the Cosmos die-cut onto the card front, layer the sentiment and adhere using craft glue
Pop up the card front using foam tape and adhere to a card base
Oooh that texture and nested stenciling is a fun touch on this happy card.
The sentiment is like a ray of sunshine here!
The Cosmos flower colors were inspired by a picture I found in a Google search. I love that I can color match almost anything from the wide range of Pawsitively Saturated Ink colors.
