Simon Say Stamp - Nested Heart Card

Hello Lovelies! When I saw Simon Says Stamp's Stencil Heart Masks, I immediately had a card idea in my head! It's bold but simple and I hope that you find it as charming as I do.

Thus, today's card features a stencil that will become at staple in my craft room. It coordinates perfectly with Simon's Nested Heart dies and offers so many possibilities, but I will use it here to layer hearts in shades for pink.

The Heart Masks Stencil essentially comes in two parts: a set of outlines (shown in the above) and set of cut out hearts (which you can use as masks).

We'll need this stencil and a couple of other key supplies for making this card:

Click here to view the full supply list or check out the one linked in the gallery at the bottom of this post when you have finished exploring this card.

Time for some stenciling!

We'll let the photos do most of the talking here. :-)

Set Up Stencil With A2 Card Front Layer

Stencil Heart Layers

  • start with the largest heart outline stencil and the lightest pink, Spun Sugar

  • repeat with each the next size down in the stencil set and the remaining colors in this order: Kitsch Flamingo; Worn Lipstick; Picked Raspberry

Die-Cut Stencil Layer With Stitched Rectangle Die

I love the pinkness!!!

Diecut Love Sentiment

  • Diecut the Outline Love Die twice out of Navy and then once out of Matte Gold Cardstock

  • Adhere and layer the Navy Love Outline

  • Save all the inlaid pieces of the "V" in the Gold Love Outline

Prepare Foiled Sentiment

  • Trim the "I would do it all over again with you" Sentiment Strip

  • Place a piece of Gold Foil Transfer Sheet over the selected Sentiment Strip and sandwich them between a piece of folded parchment paper

  • Run the "sandwich" through a laminator

  • Peel back foil and pop up with foam tape

Adhere Sentiments to Card Front

Adhere Card Front to A2 Folded Card Base

All done!

Lovelies, I think it would be fun to do this card in a variety of gradient colors or even mixing the colors up. Let me know what colors you would try in the comments!

See you soon!
