Party-Ready Christmas Card Magic: Die-Cutting & Embossing with Party Streamers!

Hi Lovelies!
Is it ever too early to start making Christmas cards? 🤫 The answer is a very Merry NO! Some crafters start their holiday cards in July, so if you're just getting into the festive spirit now, don't worry—you are in great company!
Today, I'm sharing a card with the Party Streamers from the STAMPtember® 2026 release. It relies almost entirely on die-cutting and embossing technique magic to create a celebration full of movement, texture, and festive charm. If you want to make a statement holiday card that skips heavy stamping or complex coloring, this design is for you!

PARTY STREAMERS CHRISTMAS CARD - Die-cutting, Inking, Embossing
Card Size: ~4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
✂️ The Recipe for a Streamer-Filled Celebration
To build this merry, graphic card, I reached for a few showstopping goodies from Simon Says Stamp:
The Graphic Focal Feature: The Party Streamers dies create sweeping, swirling ribbons that run vertically across the card front, instantly bringing party energy.
The Textured Background: The Melbourne embossing folder adds a delicate, tile-like snowflake pattern across white cardstock.
The Glitzy Sentiment: The Opulent Merry die cut from sparkling gold glitter cardstock brings that touch of elegance and grand holiday polish right across the bottom.
The Custom Sentiment Strip:Â A crisp black-and-white sentiment strip reading "CHRISTMAS"Â grounds the sparkly script greeting.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
🎨 Inking & Layering Details
What makes those wavy streamers look so dimensional and eye-catching? It’s all in the ink application!
Ink the Streamers: Die-cut the Party Streamers dies out of white cardstock, then ink-blend them using classic red and green Pawsitively Saturated Inks. Blending slightly heavier ink on one side of each ribbon twist gives them a realistic 3D appearance!
Add Gold Highlights to the Texture:Â Emboss your background panel with the Melbourne embossing folder. To make that intricate pattern shine, lightly brush a bit of gold metallic ink across the raised dots and delicate snowflake shapes.
Assemble the Scene:Â Adhere your alternating red and green party streamers across the gold-touched embossed background.
Top with Sparkle: Layer the gold glitter Opulent Merry die over a black "CHRISTMAS" strip to complete your merry greeting! Frame the entire panel onto a rich red cardstock mat and envelope.
