Hi Lovelies!
Welcome to Day 2 of Simon Says Stamp's Every Happiness Release Blog Hop! We're taking a virtual trip in the craft room to the Caribbean where I grew up, for today's make. The Pawsitively Saturated Inks are getting a workout today to color our beautiful Flourish Hummingbird and Leafdance Flowers and Frame die-cuts.
Stick with me for all the details of this simple card so you can take your own tropical trip from your craft space.

SUNSHINE HUMMIRD CARD - Embossing, Die-cutting, Stamping and Inking
COLOR PALETTE
Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink Pads - Amethyst, Carnation, Peony, Sherbet, Cantaloupe, Limelicious, Pearfection, Field, Fairway, Tropic, Surf, Marine, Cadette, Woodsy, Lemonade, Sunbeam and Citrine.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Embossing and Ink-blending the Background
Emboss 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white cardstock using the Whirpool Spinner Embossing Folder
Place the embossed cardstock on a Sticky Grid mat to hold it in place
Apply layers of the selected yellow colors, going from lightest to darkest using the Large Shading Brush.
Die-cutting and Inking the Flourish Hummingbird and Leafdance Flowers and Frame
Die-cut white cardstock using the Flourish Hummingbird and Leafdance Flowers and Frame.
Use the photo below to guide your inking choices
Ink the die-cut using a selection of Small Blending Brush and Round Detail Blending Brushes
HUMMINGBIRD
(NOTE: there's a little bit Amethyst ink in the layers of color of the patterned piece of the hummingbird head.)
Assemble as shown:
Place foam dots on the back to pop up.
Layering the Background
Adhere the Leafdance Frame to the Whirlpool Spinner embossed backround using Craft Glue.
Adhere the Leafdance Flowers to the Frame as shown.
