Hello Lovelies! Honey Bee Stamps is at it again with another stunning release, this time packed with Fall and Halloween goodies!
It was really hard to choose which sets to showcase in the sneak peaks and I can't wait to explore the full release each Thursday over the next few weeks. I've included a supply list so that you can give these cards a try or fill your cart at Simon Says Stamp if you see something you like.
Today's post will focus on making sure that you get a closer look at the cards, 3 of which were made with watercolor backgrounds. I have a rather hefty stash of watercolor wash backgrounds that I wanted to explore using for some of these sneak peek cards. If you have a similar reserve of backgrounds, they are a great way to jumpstart your card-making.
I did quite a bit of simple Copic coloring on these adorable Fall and Halloween cuties that Honey Bee made for this release and I am sharing tons of photos with the color recipe for each one!
Let's get to the cards! I've added a few tips for these cards and pics to guide you.
SWEET STACK CIRCLES CARDS - Diecut Circles to Make Patterned Backgrounds

You will need a couple of shades of solid cardstock to make these easy-peasy eye-catching cards and send someone a paper hug! I've linked my cardstock selections in the supplies section so you can follow along.
Card Tips:
I got the color scheme for the Hello Friend card from a color palette that I saw on Instagram! I don't know about you, but I have a much easier time if someone else or something else dictates the colors for me. LOL
On a simple card like this, you can enhance visual interest by adding texture (with the quilted die on the Hello Friend Card) and patterns (with the dot stencil on the Thanks card)
THANKS CARD - Die-cut Watercolor Wash Background with Salt Blooms

Card Tips
About twice a year, I get out my favorite watercolor set and spend an afternoon making washes, puddles of color and adding salt to some to make them even more fun. This background was done in one of this sessions and this was the perfect project to use it on! The watercolors are Mijello Mission Gold 36 Set - Ochre, Reddish Brown, Van Dyke Brown, Ivory Black
The "blooms" are made by dropping salt into the wet watercolor and allowing it to dry before scraping the salt off to reveal the blooms
The base layer of the Thanks Buzzword Die is done by coloring white cardstock with Distress Ink Scattered Straw Ink Pad

Card Tips
I went back to my watercolor stash for this card which features the following colors: Lemon Yellow, Greenish Yellow and Yellow Green
I tried to keep track of all the colors I used to do some simple coloring of these forest friends who are definitely Better together. Please follow along with the pix below
Raccoon, stump, leaves and acorn
Pumpkins, mouse and bunny
I love that you get to have matching die-cuts for each image and my fussy-cutting skills are very questionable!
BOO CARD - Copic Colored Animal Images on a Watercolor Wash Background
Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Featuring:
Trick or Treat Stamps & Dies
Boo Buzzword Stamps & Dies
Additional supplies linked in the Supplies Gallery at the end of this post
Card Tips
This background is also another watercolor wash (Viridian and Ivory Black), this time without the texture that the salt crystals add
I snapped a pic of the colors I used to do some simple coloring of my adorable Halloween Crew. Please follow along with the pix below
Tree, Cat, Bear and Pig
Pumpkin, Ghost, Bats and Dog
They are even cuter with all this color and ready to diecut!
Once die-cut, I initially laid them out on a mini-slimline card base to get a sense of what I wanted the scene to be and then decided to go with a larger card size. LOL!
The ombre diecut was made using Copic markers and if you have not done that before I can absolutely recommend it!
Thank you for visiting Lovelies! Don't forget to let me know if you have any questions please.
See you soon!
