Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Poppy Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

The layering guide uses the same red tones the you get in the bundle and will have you making poppies lickety-split!

I think we may all have someone right now who needs our support, could use a hug or is coping with a disappointment or loss.


Most of my cards are fairly loud and that is fine, but I made this card with a particular loved one in mind and wanted a different, perhaps more serene mood for this card.

I used 3 tones of gray cardstock, a black cardstock and a little silver cardstock for my flower centers.


For the card background, I spray-painted white watercolor cardstock with Antique Silver Metallic Ink Spray. I still can't get over how smooth it comes out, it looks like the cardstock came that way...


I want a simple bold sentiment to let my friend know that I care and the "Here For You" Essential Sentiment Strips Die Set said everything I wanted to say.


I love how cards can send hugs across the miles. This color palette may not be everyone's cup of tea, but you can use this layout with whatever colors make your heart sing.
