Welcome to Simon Says Stamp's Handmade Holiday Release Blog Hop! There are so many things to love about this release and I decided to focus on the slimline stencils and the Glitter Glitz Gel Set.
I made a pair of cards using the same layout but different colors and stencil patterns for wishing loved ones a happy holiday season. I dipped my toe into that lovely blingy gel for the first card.
And then started exploring the lovely new pinkness from the Pawsitively Saturated Ink line!

Both cards are straightforward, so I'll just share a couple of guiding photos and tips to illustrate how each came together. As you can see, this will be a great opportunity to use your Salvaged Patina Distress Ink!
Gently apply ink through the Slimline Rainbow Stencil in the following order Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina and lastly Twisted Citron
Next randomly stencil the Christmas Ornament outline in the same colors + Cracked Pistachio over the stenciled Slimline Rainbow layer
For the final stencil step, select the blue, green and gold gels from the Mini Glitter Glitz Gel Set and apply them through the "flower" design of the Christmas Ornament Stencil
Finish with your diecut and sentiment embellishments and a few gold jewels.
Note that the top-layer of the diecut sentiment is stacked twice for dimension and the sentiment strips are mounted on foam.
These mini gels are truly mighty, you don't need a lot to make a big impact!

The inked ombre stenciling was done first. Apply the inks through one of the stencils in the following order top to bottom Bubblegum, Sweets, Taffy (Pawsitively Saturated Ink Trio) with a little Distress Ink Barn Door at the very bottom.
Using the other stencil design, apply Sparkle Paper Glitz on top of the ombre-inked panel. Apply with a light touch and do not linger as the ink will start to bleed.
Finish with your diecut and sentiment embellishments and a few pink jewels.
The colors in the pink foil pick up all the pinkness on display with the candy candy!
