Hello Lovelies! I tried using pastel (chalk) pencils a few months ago and was thoroughly charmed by the earthy look they gave my coloring and their opacity. The floral embossing folders in Simon Says Stamp's Happy Camper release inspired me to dig them out of my stash for coloring these gorgeous raised designs.
Today's card is the first of a pair that I colored with pastel pencils. For this card I used Kalour Pastel pencils, iIf it is not convenient for you to use these, I've linked some colored pencils that are wax/oil based and will deliver lovely results as well!

FUN FLORAL FRAME LOVE CARD - Coloring With Pastel Pencils, Die-cutting and Embossing

COLOR PALETTE
Simon Says Stamp Cardstock : Lemon Chiffon, Lavender
Kalour Pastel Pencils

CARD TIPS
The opacity of the pencils allow you to color on top of a colored cardstock like the Lemon Chiffon and have the colors stand out.
I shaded around the flower border with a darker yellow for a "shadow" effect an used a Q-tip to blend it out.
Pastel (chalk) pencils need a fixative sprayed over them to hold the pastel pigment in place on the cardstock.
