Floral basket decor with colorful flowers on lavender background. Text reads: Simon Says Stamp, Country Basket Bouquet, inking, die-cutting, embossing.

Hello Lovelies! I missed one, today's project is actually from the Beautiful Moments release and I just realized that I never did a blog post for it! I really wanted to sharebecause I believe ink-blending and color selection can be a crafting super-power and help you elevate your cards and projects from ok to delightful. Join me for a few moments as we work on inking a country basket bouquet.

Ink-blending and Color-Selection Tips:

  1. Get The Right Tools - select the right size/shape brushes for the tasks

  2. Less Is More - do not over-ink your brushes and build up color in layers

  3. Two Colors Are Better Than One - use a light and darker version of the same color to create shadows/depth and highlights.

  4. Swatches Are Your BFF - these are an essential tool in color-matching your ink palette to your inspiration.

  5. Let The Packaging Inspire You - if you are unsure of what colors to pick, you'll never fail with taking guidance from the packaging and adlib as you gain confidence and are feeling inspired.

  1. Framed art with a bunny, floral basket, and text "beautiful friend." Pastel colors, flowery background, and a bunny ornament nearby.
I'd be completely happy about a bunny delivering me flowers!
