Hello Lovelies! I'm back with a second card using the Organic Leaves Stampa and the Watercolor Stamping technique. This time though it is all about this Margarita Glass which has been reworked as a champagne glass! I have paired it with a simple earthy, textured background using one of the new embossing folders from Simon Says Stamp's Celebrate Release.
The look is intended to embody the feel of a girl's trip to somewhere tropical and fun. Let me know if it's giving that vibe.

CARD WALKTHROUGH
WATERCOLOR-STAMPING
Adhere a 6" x 6" piece of white cardstock to a Stamp and Stencil Mat.
Secure the Organic Leaves Stamp over the cardstock.
Ink the stamp all over with the lightest color Pawsitively Saturated Ink (Sprout)and stamp as shown.
Ink a few sections of the stamp using the darkest color ink (Field) and stamp.
Repeat with the second darkest in other sections of the stamp (Fairway)
Add a few random touches of the last color (Tropic) to the stamp and apply the stamp to the paper.
Mist the stamp with water and whatever residual ink remains on it and stamp a final time to achieve the distressed watercolor effect.
Trim cardstock to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Retain scraps for another project :-)
DISTRESSED EMBOSSING
Emboss a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white cardstock using the Flower Buds Unfolding Embossing Folder.
Ink a small firm sponge or the tip of your finger with Tarnished Brass Distress Paint and apply to the raised surface of the embossed panel as shown below.
Let dry and then adher to a card base with glue.
DIE-CUTTING & ASSEMBLY
Attach foam tape to the back of the stamped panel and adhere to the card front.
Die-cut two Margarita Glass outlines out of Black cardstock and adher one as shown using Craft Glue to the card front.
Die-cut two Margarita Glass inserts out of Matte Gold cardstock. Adher one of the inserts inside the first glass.
Adhere the second outline over the first glass and and add the insert
Trim and pop-up the sentiment with Foam Tape and then adhere to the card front.
Finish by adhering some Starshine Sequin "bubbles" to the "gold liquid" in the glass.
The watercolor stamping gives the leaves a beautiful, unique look.
The Distress Paint looks like antique gold on top of the embossing.
Whatever you put in your glass, it's always better with a friend!
I recently had a girl's trip, but since it wasn't tropical and we didn't have margaritas, I think that's enough of a reason for a do-over!!!
Thank you SO much for stopping by! Drop me a comment and say hi!
