Updated: Jan 18, 2021

Hi Lovelies!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Love You and Love You, Too Blog Hop presented by Simon Says Stamp! I am thrilled to share a 4 projects with you today using a variety of stamps dies and stencils from both of the adorable releases dies.

It would not be a Blog Hop if we did not have a free gift for you. Simon has a 6" x 8" stamp set with a bunch of sweet images for you to color. This will offered through 1/18/21 at 11:59PM ET, while supplies last with each $100 or more purchase. Products links are shared below for your shopping convenience. :-)

Also, don't forget to comment below to be eligible to win one of the $25 coupons available at every stop along this hop!

All of today's cards were SUPER simple but I hope they will inspire you to make something pretty!! I am featuring the following

Card 1 - My Love Grows

The Heart Garden is a background-sized stamp and the absolute star of the show here! Since I have been "pinking" it up lately with many of my cards so things took a very deliberate citrusy turn with my Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon.

After embossing the Heart Garden in white, I took a wet paintbrush, and "lifted color" out of the hearts and leaves by dabbing with the wet paintbrush and wiping off the ink that I "lifted" onto a paper towel.

The effect is subtle but pretty. If you want a more dramatic effect, choose darker Distress Oxide colors and you should get more contrast.

Cards 2 and 3 - "Dude" and "Friend"

I have a special place in my heart for stencils, so my eyes lit up when I saw these sweet heart and star stencils. Stencils present you with so many options but ultimately, the Stickles Glitter Glue that I have been hoarding for years started calling my name...

I paired each stencil background with layered word dies and All Things Happy Sentiment Strips and "voila"!

Cards 4 - "Thank You For Being A Friend"

I don't think this one need much explanation, I wasn't kidding when I said I kept things simple Lovelies. The "Thank You for Being a Friend" Die made me quite nostalgic and somehow that translated into a rainbow of 80s colors and me humming the Golden Girls theme song!!!

Of course I grabbed my Distress Inks to make my rainbow and used only 3 primary colors as the diecut is not that huge: Picked Raspberry; Peacock Feathers and Squeezed Lemon.

The background is simply stamped in black using my new fave, Hexagon Tile Background stamp and this card is done!

Cards 5 - "Sheltering Tree"

This stamp set is on that will get you though the year. The sentiments pull on the heart strings and those trees work for any season! To be honest I was thinking more galaxy background than rainbow, but somehow, this happened...

Clearly I have strong relationship with my Distress colors. LOL. Here I started with Distress Oxides in Rustic Wilderness and worked my way up with, Mowed Lawn, Spice Marmalade, Seedless Preserves, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire.

With that done, I stamped my trees in black and then used a toothbrush to randomly spray white paint across the top of the card. Easy-Peasy!

I hope these simple cards showed inspired you to go experiment with this new release and don't forget to take advantage of the Giveaway!
