Hello Lovelies! Gosh February flew by and I am just getting to my last Animal Print stenciling Card from the Hugs and Kisses releases. I've got another stenciling trick where we will introduce texture to our card.
As mentioned in the other posts in this series, the Kisses release gave us a trio of affordable animal print stencils that I developed a big ol' crush on! Today, we'll lay down color and give a leopard print a little dimension with some Tim Holtz Ranger Translucent Distress Grit Paste.
Here's a closer look at today's key supplies:

LOVE ALWAYS CARD - Stenciling with Ink and Paste and Die-cutting
Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
COLOR PALETTE
Starting with our Khaki Cardstock, we will blend Mocha and Cappucino Pawsitively Saturated Inks to create depth and gradients in our Leopard pattern.
CARD TIPS
After stenciling on the ink, leave the stencil in place and scoop a little Translucent Grit Paste onto a Palette Knife and spread in a even layer across the Leopard Print stencil, filling in all the openings. Remove the stencil and clean it before the paste dries. Set aside the back ground to dry completely
Diecut the Fancy Love Die sentiment die 3 times - twice out of white cardstock and lastly out of Champagne Gold Metallic Cardstock. Layer and adhere.
Die-cut the Fancy Love Die outline die out of the Dark Chocolate Cardstock
Die-cut the 3rd smallest Nested Rounded Heart Die outline die out of the Schoolhouse Red Cardstock and back with Foam Tape
Trim the stenciled layer to 4" x 5 1/4"
Assemble and adhere the layers and embellish with a single Gumdrop Heart

I wish the pic could show the texture even better, its so fun and perfect for this print!
The red heart and the gumdrop heart add a little lift to this "chocolatey" palette!
The champagne cardstock adds a little glamour to this sweet card...
I hope that if you aren't already exploring pastes and potions (LOL), this gives you a nudge to try.
I made this card initially for Valentine's Day, but this is the kind of card that can be shared at any time of year!
Thank you for stopping by and see you soon!
