Simon Say Stamp - New Layering Stencils!

Hello Lovelies! Simon Says Stamp gave us four fabulous Layering Stencils in the Good Luck Charm release and they are perfect for easy crafting with big impact results.

With a few ink colors and a few minutes, you are left with a beautiful pattern for a background of whatever you or whatever you prefer. I hate to play favorites but I may have a bit of a crush on the Interlocking Circles Layering Stencils Set which I colored with my Pawsitively Saturated Inks.

Card Essentials:

One more thing! If you have been following for a while, you may have seen me using Wendy Vecchi's Make Art STAY-tion. It's a must-have my craft room and invaluable when you are using layering stencils, that have to be perfectly aligned and remain in place while you are ink-blending or applying other mediums/color.

Let's layer up some love for this card!

LOVE YOU SO MUCH CARD - Stencil Layering with Metallic Diecuts

PREPARE THE BACKGROUND

Secure the stencil in place with the magnets.

Using a blending brush, apply the lightest color, Bubblegum for this layer of the stenciled image.

Apply the next color Sweets, using the same brush.

With the another brush apply Velvet Orchid .

NOTE: In the pic I have positioned the stencil but not yet added the ink.

Also, I over-inked my brush and it seeped through the stencil pattern a little, so a light touch on the ink pad is recommended.

Finish with Latte for the squares.

Here is the finished layering stencils background.

EMBELLISH

Ink white cardstock with Latte and diecut using the Nested Hearts dies.

Diecut two layers using the Love You So Much die and adhere together with Bearly Craft Glue.

Diecut the outline layer out of vellum and adhere to the sentiment.

Layer as shown, placing foam tape under the stenciled layer to pop it up. :-)

I'm not usually this subtle, but I like it and hope you do too!

Last look!

Lovelies, I've got to think about other fun color combos, the new 15 Pawsitively Saturated Inks just expand the possibilities for these stencils and I haven't even tried pastes or glitter yet!

Also, please let me know in the comments if you like this pictorial format.

Hope to see you soon!
