PROJECT WALKTHROUGH

DISTRESSING THE BAGS

  1. Remove the bag handles.

  2. Use a Mini Ink Blender to unevenly blend Distress Oxide Black Soot around the bottom and side edges of the bag.

  3. Jack-O-Lantern Bag: Stamp the Haunted House in Distress Ink Hickory Smoke on the left side of the bag, then add the crow in Distress Ink Picket Fence and the sentiment in Distress Oxide Black Soot.

  4. Trick or Treaters Bag: Stamp the skull and crossbones in Distress Ink Hickory Smoke on the right side of the bag, then add the Toxique sign in Distress Ink Picket Fence and the sentiment in Distress Oxide Black Soot.

CREATING THE JACK-O-LANTERN DIE-CUTS

  1. Die-cut the Trick or Treat sentiment out of white cardstock twice. Layer and adhere, rubbing along the bottom edge with a Spiced Marmalade Ink Pad.

  2. Die-cut the bats out of Distress Black Heavystock setting one aside for the other treat bag.

  3. Rub each of the selected Distress Ink pads over white 110lb cardstock.

  4. Once dry, die-cut the layers as shown in the second photo below.

  5. Use Mini Ink Blenders and the same color inks to add shadows and depth to each of the die-cuts.

  6. Adhere the die-cut layers as shown with Craft Glue.

  2. Die-cut the children from the Distress Watercolor cardstock and Distress Black Heavystock.

  3. Mist the cardstock with water using the Distess Sprayer.

  4. Gently rub a ink pad over a child in the order shown, allowing the colors to slightly overlap.

  5. Wherever white cardstock is still showing on the die-cut, use a paint brush and a little watered down color from the ink pad too color it in with the appropriate color, as shown with the Wilted Violet below.

  6. Adhere the colored and black die-cut layers as shown with Craft Glue with a slight off-set so the black layer acts as a shadow.
