Simon Say Stamp - Delicate Floral Frames Cards

Hello Lovelies! Today I have a pair of sweet and simple notecards for you that are all about my go-to ink-blending and graphical designs with stark black accents.

I love the contrast between the art-deco vibes from the Fanfare Stencil with the delicate lines of the Delicate Floral Frames Stamp Set. Both are from Simon Says Stamp's Hello Gorgeous release and when paired with my favorite butterfly dies, it all comes together!

I busted out my new BFF, the Simon Says Stamp's NEW Flat Blending Brush for some easy-peasy blending of some Pawsitively Saturated Inks in soft pastel shades.

Here's a quick look the key supplies for this pair:

Why ??? Because butterflies make me happy too?

FLORAL FRAMES CARDS CARD - Stenciling, Ink-blending and Die-cutting

Card Base: 3 1/2" x 4 7/8"

Featuring:

A 4-Bar Card is a size often used for an RSVP or a notecard. It measures 4 7/8" x 3 1/2". It seemed a perfect size for these darling frames!

CARD WALKTHROUGH

Using the flat blending brush blend Sweets and Cadette ink on a piece of 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" piece of white cardstock.

Tip: to get the purple shade in the center, blend the Sweets ink 3/4" the way across the piece of cardstock.

Then blend over half of the pink color with the Cadette ink.

Clean the blending brush between inks.

On a second piece of 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" piece of white cardstock, repeat the blending using the flat blending brush and the Lemonade and Spring inks

Using Intense Black ink, stamp the selected frames as shown onto the ink-blended cardstock.

When stamp the selected sentiments, "Sending Love & Hugs" (Floral Frames Stamp Set) and "May Your Day..." (XL Spring Greetings Stamp Set) in the center of the frames.

Align dies and secure with washi or delicate painters tape.

Add foam tape to the underside to pop up.

For the yellow/green frame, align the stencil ash shown over the vertically-placed card front (4 7/8" x 7", scored at 3 1/2") and blend in a gentle ombre using Smoke ink.

Ink should be darker at the top of the card and lighter towards the bottom.

Repeat with another 4-Bar card base, this time placed horizontally on the stencil.

Finish cards by attaching frames and adorning with the black butterflies as shown.

Lovelies, I hope you'll consider trying this. Switch up the colors if you have blends you prefer!

Thank you for stopping by and see you soon!
